He had a beautiful smile and a beautiful voice, his music was and still is the heart and soul of Canterbury and will not easily be forgotten. He made strangers smile just by playing his guitar. I remember seeing a little girl who had run away from her mummy so that she could dance in circles around where he sat singing, and when her mum marched over to grab her hand, she couldn’t help but smile and she stopped to listen to that music her baby had found so enchanting. He always said hello to me in the street and waved, even though we only met once, and I was surprised he remembered me at all when it’s clear now he had so many friends. Taihg Daniel Peter Lloyd has left many much loved people behind. Here’s to Taihg, and the knowledge that he’ll be forever jamming with the greats now.
